Yesterday’s Date

So, yesterday’s date went really well. Im super happy that I finally had a really good date.
We met up at starbucks, Downtown at Yonge and Dundas. We chatted over coffee for a good hour and a half and then we headed to the movies to see “The Cabin in the Woods.” The move wasn’t a typical horror flick, it had a little bit of everything and I must say, it is a far fetched concept for a horror film. WIth that being, I did enjoy the movie. During the movie, R put his arm around me and I kind of snuggled into him. But while this was happening, I was over thinking the snuggling for a long time. I was contemplating whether this feels right or not, but I mean, I did it. Then, I got a little uncomfortable, so I sat up straight and he held my hand. There were some parts in the movie that made me jump, he thought it was hilarious.

After the movie, we walked over to a new by pub/brewery. We had 1 beer each, continue to talk and try to get to know one another. Our personalities definitely clicked. He is really easy to get along with and be around. His presence is very easy going and positive. He made me feel like I could be a little more like myself around him.

After the beer, we took the subway down to his area and we went for a 1:30am walk, where we also continued to talk, we sat on a bench, talked some more, and then, he went in for a kiss. A big kiss! It was nice, felt nice. But also weird to be kissing someone after not kissing anyone in that way for a long time. When we were talking, he did say that he like smy quirks and that I have a lot of them and he likes them cause its what makes me. He also said that I have a lot of nervous ticks, but that they are cute and he likes them, he’s drawn to me by it all. R complemented me throughout the night. It was really sweet. He made me laugh, a lot!

After some kissing and talking, we walked back to his place. He has a single bedroom apartment in the High Park area. Its a really nice place, cute but needs some artistic touches. He showed me the gorgeous view- which was truly breathtaking. Then, we headed downstairs so that he could drive me to my car near the Subway station.

He dropped me off, he stole another few kisses. Hugged me and did mention that we should go on a second date.

This morning, he sent me a morning text, thanking me once agian for a wonderful night and that he would love to see me again.

Im really excited. I don’t know him much but he seems like a genuin nice guy, very sweet, sarcastic, great sense of humour, level headed but adventurous.
The only thing that I’m not sure of (please keep in mind, this is the begining stages of maybe something or nothing) is I dont know if Im physically attracted to him. But his personality is what is really capturing me. He’s completely not my type in terms of physical features. But, I don’t want to judge anything to quickly or write anyone off quickly.

So, with all that being said, who knows what will happen. But I do look forward to spending more time with R and getting to know him better.

To summarize:

  • Great personality
  • Funny/ charming/ sweet/ smart/ nice smile and eyes
  • Made me laugh/ felt like myself.
  • Lots of stuff in common
  • Had a wonderful time
  • Kisses
  • Uncertainty
